Springtime weather calls for ice cream! HCF hosted a neighborhood Ice Cream Social on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, welcoming more than 200 registered neighbors for an afternoon of community fun. Guests enjoyed delicious soft-serve ice cream from the Mr. Smooth Ice Cream Truck, tested their luck with candy jar guessing games, picked up tree-themed activities for kids. Some took part in a neighborhood scavenger hunt for the chance to win a prize. It was a sweet way to enjoy the sunshine and spend time with neighbors!

Each year, the Homeland Community Foundation welcomes neighbors for an evening of connection and community pride—all in support of our revitalization and beautification efforts. Past gatherings have ranged from autumn wine and cheese by a glowing firepit to spring garden parties under cascades of wisteria, each set against the backdrop of one of Homeland’s stunning homes. It’s a chance to mingle with friends old and new while helping preserve the charm and beauty of our historic neighborhood.

A beloved Homeland tradition for over 15 years, the annual Luminaria display transforms our neighborhood into a glowing wonderland each Christmas Eve. Hundreds of candlelit bags line sidewalks and encircle the Lakes, casting a warm, magical light that welcomes the season and creates memories to last a lifetime. Neighbors are encouraged to join in by displaying Luminarias on December 24th, adding to the beauty and spirit of the evening and creating a magical backdrop for the Annual Children’s Choir Christmas Caroling. Proceeds benefit the Homeland Community Foundation’s ongoing efforts to revitalize and enhance our parks, Lakes, and shared green spaces.
